Variable Library

Update time:2025-06-06 18:57:34

The Variable Library is used to create and manage explicit variables in your survey.

    Creating Variables

Click Create Variable, select a Variable Type, and use the slide-out Variable Settings panel to set the variable name and value. Once configured, the new variable will be added to your survey.

    Viewing Variable Information

Click a variable name in the Variable List to display its details in the settings panel on the right. The three buttons in the top-right corner allow you to locate the variable in the list, duplicate the variable, and delete the variable. The settings panel also shows where the variable is being used - clicking on any of these references will center that object on the canvas.

Variables can be used within nodes or as components in other variable calculations. Variables that are referenced will display a triangle marker in the top-right corner of their list item. If the triangle is semi-transparent, it indicates that while the variable is referenced, the nodes or variables using it are not actively used in the survey.

Variables are powerful tools for designing complex surveys. To use them effectively, you'll need to understand their rules and concepts in detail. See the complete guide in Variables.
